Oleg Leonov is an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, a member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Born in 1959 in Tatarstan, he graduated from the Moscow State Surikov’s Institute in 1990 (Glazunov’s portrait workshop). Since 1988 he is a member of the All-Union, All-Russian and international exhibitions. Since 1992 he works in the artist’s studio named after V.V. Vereshchagin of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. He is currently its director. Laureate of the State Prize of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
His works can be seen in the Museum of Modern Art in Madrid, Hamburg and State Gogol’s Museum in Moscow, museums of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, as well as in galleries and private collections in the USA, Italy, Spain, Japan.
